I'm trying to install a programmable thermostat. The older is a Sears Homart regulator with barometer and humidity, but I don't think that matters. I am installing a Hunter and it says to correct up the wires. I figured out the R and W wires. But I have an X accommodate on the older that doesn't match anything on the new thermostat. My heater is gas with a hepa filter. Note, I've been here a year, so I don't know the story of the system. What tangency do I attach the X wire to? Note every of the wires are tan, no colouration at all. The options are Y/C/M/O But that's for A/C, which I dont' have or G/F for the fan. There's something most hard wiring that I read. Does that stingy I can't place in a shelling operated set back?
Also, it has a metal switch. I do not hit a modify pump.
It seems to go to a tiny reddened bulb. Can I just place electrical tape on it and not connect it. Or what should I connect it to? Not sure what the indicator light does.
