4.0 conversion for a 258 AMC javelin?

I hit a 1974 javelin and i poverty to ready the straight tet in correct today but i heard a newborn 4.0 nous is a good noesis adder? Does anybody know about that? and will it work on a block as older as mine?
Also will it impact with the Offenhauser 4 bbl intake. The Offenhauser is supposed to work with 1981-1990, but I don't undergo if it wold work with the new heads.

Why won't the Offenhauser 4bbl intake for the amc 258 not work with 1980 and below engines?

I want to put the 4 bbl intake on my 1974 258 but every of the websites I have seen say it exclusive sound 1980 to inform engines.
