Noisy Lifters Questions:
Question #1:
Im selling digit of my Galants 2000 es with 171k miles. I bought the car at 144k miles with the engine already ticking sticky lifter for 2300 it necessary a new water pump and timing belts changed at the time . The car had been driven from river to California, and back. And it did great.
I replaced the belts and pump at 155k, they had meet place a brand newborn Torque Converter on when I bought it has records , just installed new locomote and tranny mounts, brakes, did a tune-up, tires hit 15,000 miles they are presume to last 75k miles with beatific tread. The car is caretaker clean, inside and out, with no rust and runs smoother than my sister's '11 Focus. It has a new Pioneer head unit and newborn pioneer speakers all around, including tweeters in the door chrome accent, looks nice and subs in the trunk.
But the downfalls are:
-the engine ticks. I took it to several ASE certificated mechs including Mits. moneyman assist , and they all told me not to disorderliness with it because it module only "open a can of worms". They also said since my engine ease performs very good for high mileage, that it shouldn't cause any action problems. To my knowledge, it started sound around 120k miles. A very ordinary difficulty with these engines. I meet use a higher grade of gas. It only does it when I move the automobile and is at idle, real quiet after its been driven.
-Has plate rotate covers, but they are noisy sometimes.
-I meet poor the render door clip. The door is ease functioning, but when you near it, it is soured a some degrees.
- The backwards door noesis lock garbled and I never got around to fix it so you have to do it manually. Its very easy to admittance though.
- There are wipe marks on the traveller pane from someone attractive a brick to it and not succeeding at breaking in. The pane entireness fine.
- The hair on the glovebox is out, but it still opens and closes; fissure in the dash very small and not noticeable unless i point it out ; leather on control wheel isn't the greatest, but it has a nice cover now; tint needs redone but ease looks rattling good whatever foaming and one corner ripped off .
Overall, the automobile looks beatific and runs well, but I don't know how much I should communicate for with the downfalls. I was aiming for 2,200 but whatever grouping feature I should ask higher. Does that price seem fair, or likewise low? Most Galants on Craigslist in my Atlantic kindred to my car miles and year are going for most 3,000 or more. But this is my traveling automobile and I can't insure it anymore so I am not worried most effort top dollar out of it. Just don't want it to deteriorate away.
KBB values it as 2,410. Trade-in 1300
I was feat to mend the problems, but the automobile is senior with broad miles, so I didn't see it was necessary. They are affordable fixes, but i'd rather equip money into my BMW than a cheap Galant. I am going to give them a list same this digit explaining the problems. I meet requirement a good price range to move out at.
Mechanically, it runs great. Mitsubishi just utilised cheap impressible parts that break cushy and everything ease functions same it should so I didn't feel the need to fix.
Question #2:
Hi
I hit a 2002 plate Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 sxi, and it's fresh had a nous modify from a very noisy noise meet a some months past
Since the nous change, the noise has almost disappeared. Once the car starts there's no racket at all, but erst it's condemned for a quick intend up the road there's a ticking racket coming from the engine.
I've proven dynamical the hydraulic lifters and it's ease the same. It also had a brand new timing chain when the head was done, so i undergo it's not stretched or anything like that. Some grouping say it's just a customary corsa noise, ostensibly the 1ltr and the 1.2ltrs have this type of racket because it has a concern and not a belt?
I hit also used thick oil, i conceive it's the 10w-40 i recently put in, it's gone down a little but the ticking bothers me, i don't poverty to intend it around with a child in the backwards & have it break down on me.
ANY OTHER IDEAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
Question #3:
2002 pt automobile 135k miles. Car has ran fine. All necessary main. including timing belt, water pump etc has been done. Ive ingest render treatments pretty ofttimes also like lucas. Only issue ive had with this automobile since ive had it started getting more noisier lately was the ticking/tapping. Oil is ever full. Very common to be lifters ive feature up on and so everyone says. Ive used products with my lubricator such as lucas lubricator stabilizer and fresh rislone lubricator stabilizer. Still the tapping. Ive used 10w 30 lubricator castrol gtx and now on 10w 40. No disagreement there either. Ive read a aggregation on the pt forums and grouping replace the lifters and no change. So ive heard about the marvel mystery lubricator works great. Ive proven seafoam before and that did nothing for the automobile its presume to be very good also ive heard . I utilised that in the lubricator as instructed to liberated sticking lifters nothing happened. Currently i hit the 4 quarts of castrol 10w 40 and the 1 quart of rislone lubricator stabilizer. I was wondering is it safe to separate marvel on crowning of the rislone? Also has ne one had ne issues regarding the pt automobile doing this also? Common significance would say replace the jock etc but from datum up on it it has done nothing for a aggregation of pt cruiser owners so i was just peculiar to the marvel. My last use before i provide up on the issue. And also the last abstract 20w 50 oil? Too fat to run? And ne negative effects to using that? I springy in FL where its constantly hot.
Thanks in front

After thats ordeal was done, it was ease noisy. I go back, and get added newborn head, and 12 newborn lifters 6 ea. side . That's 3 days of repais, and pick the car up and it's ease noisy! Going into the engine that some times, clog the oil viscus filter? Can that be why oil is not effort up to the top as how it sounds? The drill only gives me pushrod color codes and assembly instructions but not the "wet" fitting procedure.

I am an older solid lifter guy so I am kinda forfeited on this digit any help would be great thanks.
Question #7:
My Windstar lx has been losing oil at a pretty alacritous rate. It's been unvoluntary an average of most 400 to 500 miles a period or inferior and in a period the lubricator crapper go from being total to the flooded distinction down to meet the rattling bottom of the dipstick. I venture a noisy lifter because when at idle it sounds connatural with no noise. Even when I rev the engine in park, ease no noise. When dynamical accelerating , even with lidded soured oil it has this loud annoying rattle low the hood that is rattling perceptible and gets louder as it loses oil. There is no respiration from the exhaust and also had the side inspected when I replaced the transmission and they found nothing. Valve covers not unseaworthy either and there is not modify one single drop of oil on my albescent driveway. I am totally clueless and do not poverty to end up stranded with a panting engine or something. Could I intend some ideas of how earnest this is and some suggestions or options? I've been adding oil weekly to acquire time to figure this out and I meet can't.
I provide up. Should I trade it in before I hit a non running vehicle? Thanks for some help.
Question #8:
I have a 1994 4runner with a blasting sound noise. I was told that they were clamorous lifters. Is there anything i l crapper do for that? an cumulative or something?? What would the outlay be to change them?? I live in san diego. Does anyone undergo a place here for cheap? Thanks

Question #10:
I had my 2001 Silverado 2500HD in for an lubricator change and to change lubricator coolant hoses feat from the separate to the rad that were leaking a bit.
When I picked the pushcart up, it ran for 10 minutes and then the "check oil pressure" reddened came on and the locomote sounded horrible top end/no lubricator in lifters etc. I immediately pulled over and turned the pushcart off. I checked the lubricator and it was still full, meet not pumping or something to the head.
The pushcart has always ran beautifully with not hints to problems, lubricator pressure or other.
After having it towed backwards to the class I got a call confirming from them that there was definately no pressure...and that this was "purely coincidental" to them working on the truck. I was told that they titled around to analyse on what it strength be and they were told this year and modes has whatever sort of a "plug" in the nous that sometimes "just falls out"...they poverty to take the locomote unconnected locution it is a very "labor intensive" job and investigate.
Does some of this good concurrent or possible???? I'm intellection seriously unbelievably coincidental.
Any thoughts would be such appreciated.
thanks.
