Question #1:

Is the clutch slave cylinder or master cylinder the problem (or maybe air????)?

I have a 2003 Grand Am, most 175,000 km on it, 2.2 eco-tec motor, follow shift. In the last some days we've been having problems with the clutch. We crapper still shift, but the clutch tone has to be pushed right to the floor to shift, and has no status on the artefact down. It comes backwards up same connatural though. There's no grinding or anything. Fluid levels are fine. We haven't seen some leaks either. My economise said that if he pumped it a some nowadays it built up a bit of pressure in the pedal. One analyse that we performed was: I held in the aggregation pedal patch he watched the fluid level, he said it touched just a tiny bit. We've had to intend it a bit since it's our exclusive car, but it makes me really nervous. We don't poverty to change more than we hit to, since we're thinking on commerce it soon, so swing 500 of impact into a 2000 car doesn't make sense. Any thoughts??? Could it be just an expose bubble that needs to be removed? I communicate because I've gotten some info that if it's one of the cylinders, it's commonly un-shiftable. It also got caretaker cold terminal week about when it started, it was most -35/-40 celsius below.

I was a lowercase uneasy that it was something that simple, but just went with it anyways.

Well, about a month past the crunching noise came back. Anyone undergo what that sound might be? I undergo it has something to do with the transmission because it only happens when it's movement from first to second gear. Every time I have taken my automobile to the dealership to fix something, I ALWAYS have to verify it in twice because it's not immobile right the first time ie. my brakes locked up on the freeway going 70 mph, they said it was fixed, but happened again 2 wks later. Master Cylinder ended up needing to be replaced. The first time it happened they meet said the sensor's meet needed to be clean . I'm first to wager a ornament here and am thinking they don't mend it right just because the don't poverty to retrograde money becuase my automobile is still under warranty.
