Question #4:
I have two example Homelite EZ's from 1957/1958; not the newer models that I'm currently employed on. They were 40 and they were only absent their official covers, so I figured it was a good deal. Well, I didn't investigate the saws, then I come to find discover they separate 7/16" pitch sprockets. I also found discover that 7/16" pitch chain isn't oversubscribed anymore. Alright, recreation so far.
One saw had the example 7/16" movement sprocket, chain, and bar; the another had exclusive the 7/16" sprocket. So, I sequential and installed an Oregon PowerMate .404 pitch 7-tooth rim sprocket. This is where I requirement whatever help.
I have no forbid and no chain for the .404 saw. I don't have such undergo with chainsaws, so these are questions I would same to know about:
Can any size chain pitch be utilised on some forbid as daylong as the length of the concern is equal to forbid length? e.g. can 3/8" pitch concern and .404 pitch chain be separate off the same bar if they're the same length?
The 7-tooth tooth is also advertised in an 8-tooth sprocket. Does the difference in set on the sprocket attain a difference on the saw, the concern I can use, the bar, or all of the above? Do I have to be selective in the concern that I buy?
Can bars from assorted saws be utilised on a Homelite - especially an older model - or module this create issues with the oiler?
Because whatever exerciser hit rollers and others are hardnose, does this make a difference when streaming a concern on it?
Is there ease somewhere that sells 7/16" movement chain, and if so, where?
And the terminal abstract I don't know: what is concern gauge .050, .058, .063, etc and does it effect what type / size of bar I can use?
Thanks for some and all help - it's very much appreciated.
