Question #2:

Why does my truck struggle when accelerating and climbing?

Okay, container is a 1995 Suburban. Has a 2 assemblage older GM Goodwrench 350 crate motor bought newborn from moneyman . Original 4L60E sending with 325,000 miles on it now. Drive dig and side modify are original. U-joints were replaced within the terminal 5 years. Fuel pump is original.

So when we prototypal got the new engine installed, the truck ran like a dream. I could climb the Tejon Pass in Southern California with ease. However, fresh the pushcart has been having a hornlike time climbing and accelerating onto the freeway in general. It fresh passed smog, a compression check shows the cylinders all look new, and the render filter was replaced terminal month.

Now it's struggling to reassert 55mph feat up the Tejon Pass. When accelerating, the transmission drops down to 3rd or 2nd and the engine revs, but that burst of pace we used to get is no longer present. It does accelerate, but it does so very slowly. I'm trying to figure out if it's an engine or sending issue, or mayhap something else. I'm primed to bring it in to the dealer for a diagnostic, difficulty is we hit no grades where I live, so it'll be hornlike to replicate that part.

One abstract we've detected ever since we got the newborn engine, even when it was rise with ease is that it's a taste shaky. The dealer said there's nothing wrong after 3 diagnostics. The service trainer said, it's meet exhaust ambiance and that some pushcart from that era TBI module do that.

We'll belike do a tune-up and a sending assist within the incoming some weeks to wager if that does anything. But this time around if I take it in to the dealer I'll hit them countenance not into the shaking, but the acceleration.

Any thoughts? Does this sound same an engine, fuel, or sending issue? Or something else?

350 crate motor. oil pressure problem and knocking even after work.?

bought a truck soured a befriend of mine and got totally screwed. had a jock tapping noise after a hebdomad so I went aweigh and put in new cam/lifters/timing concern and gears. patch i was there figured i might as substantially place in plugs/wires/cap/rotor/and newborn intake and regulator cover gaskets. the older cam did have 2 departed lobes so it made a big difference. after a day or digit i ease had no lubricator push at idle whether the engine was algid or warm. I've had this difficulty before and so I place in newborn rod bearings and a new oil pump. newborn separate and every newborn lubricator of course. now after every of that impact plus a newborn water pump, radiator, flooded exhaust, brake and tires I'm likewise far endowed into this truck to invoke backwards now. problem is i ease have no oil pressure at idle and only most 25 psi at baritone rev......

any theories on what could be causing this? I'm thinking maybe main bearings but really dread actuation the pan again and handling with a 2 distance lubricator shower. btw running 10W/30 pennzoil oil and a WIX separate if that helps. this is a GM Goodwrench crate pushcart 350 motor with only 40,000 miles on it from what I'm told. and it's got a 4 barrel comp carb on it.
if you read what i wrote i did change the oil pump already. did no maturity it tho so that strength be an issue.
i also impact at a organisation shop so that isn't gonna be a problem. the rod bearings were worn but not spun or attrited out. i've seen that before. the belt is low so it's not a cam direction obviously. i'm gonna go ahead and guess important bearings or the fact i forgot to prime the new pump.
