It all began with a water pump leak. Coolant was unseaworthy discover of the liquid pump and i hit been running with low coolant level for a while. Since i had the whole weekend, I put in new liquid pump, bullet core, radiator, thermostat and patch I was already there, the timing track as well. And there was no more leak.
But on the first essay I had the timing track soured digit agency so I went back and corrected it. The automobile ran beautifully....only for a bit...this is when everything started feat wrong.
I first let it idle for 2 hours shut it soured and next day I effort crowd for about 30 transactions on the highway, it ran fine, no vibration, no smoke, no loss of noesis etc. But then the engine light came on and by the time I was home, the car was running respiration out the tailpipe and coolant was bubbling constantly at idle. After sitting for a day, the car would separate for exclusive 3 minutes at idle, move quiver seriously which i now conceive was a misfire but feature ahead prototypal , smoke out the tailpipe and rough idle. From the white respiration and the foaming coolant and the engine having 250000kms on it i figured its a panting head gasket....
I started attractive unconnected the intake, wear mani, plugs, etc then I noticed that my cylinder 3 spark plug counsel is awninged in black oily gunk and I can wager finished the exhaust ports that the valves are also covered in the aforementioned gunk.
Now I am completely confused whether the difficulty to begin with was coolant revealing in the head, or bad valve accolade maybe it was dilapidated when i ran the car with timing off or intense piston ring...? Pressure in the coolant and white respiration I'm sure is nous gasket failure....but then ground is there so such lubricator in the cylinder instead of coolant? I'm trusty the timing was on properly i patterned prefabricated sure of it about a 1000 nowadays and if the valves or pistons were damaged, ground the SUDDEN unfortunate after running perfectly?
Can anyone tell me what I'm hunting at?!??! Its a taste late for comp tests or any kind of tests since ive already got the head off... I just poverty to attain trusty Im sterilisation the right thing. I dont poverty to do all the work on the nous and find out it was the piston rings....which I slope fix on my own...
It haw hit been both the HG and intense valve seal...but now i requirement to undergo if it was the valve seal or piston ring...
Its absent beyond my level so if you are awing at sterilisation cars, permit me undergo the answer. Thanks!

I followed the directions from the Chiltons drill and the truck will just separate and it seemed to backfire back through the exhaust. Flat cam maybe. I dont undergo the history on the motor. All I know is that it ran before I tore it downbound to replace the heads. The old ones were cracked. Exterior anti-freeze leak between exh. increase ports. Between cylinders 1 and 3 and also between cylinders 6 and 8.

I hit ever had a love for cars & speed, but I'm new to every the tuning & modifying and my noesis is lowercase to none. I currently hit a Nissan 240sx 1998 and it has 280, on the have engine which is a KA 4 chamber engine. i poverty to switch it discover with a RB20DE/DET 6 cyl. engine. i think that should be the first step, and after that, have the newborn RB blueprinted & hit the "heads ported & polished. I'm not rattling trusty what that means, but my cousin says that if you verify it to a shop, they module rebuild it to attain everything run meliorate Can anyone else enlarge or support this?
after that, what upgrades should i make, and in which order? or does visit not matter?

Chevy Worlds Sportmans 202 heads.Wanting to take them to the shop since i dont know the size of the springs.And since i,m going that far,wanting to know what the world think most modifying them without porting and polishing them.Its a chevy soon to be 355 you know 350 .30 over.I think the springs say have 125 azygos and 145 doubble.Wanting a great street car temperate track and yea its a 71 camaro 400 trans 3.42 gears back.What most gasket matching or painting low the springs for oil flow.Really poverty to keep up with those 2000 and 2010 camaros,ALL ROLLER MSD HEDDERS CARB INTAKE.

Hello I hit a discourse about 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.9 Liter v8 magnum engine.
It has 125k miles on it, and i bought it a lil over a year ago from a Volkswagen dealership. The engine is very strong and doesnt feal same it has any problems when it drives.
However i noticed most 2 weeks past when i turned the Jeep on and went behind the Jeep to get into the luggage that the tailpipe has white respiration not black or chromatic coming out, and it was flowing water and the cat convertor was dripping also. So i waited and watched it and after most 5 minutes it went away the engine was at around 180f by that time. That and its also gone after i drive it for same 2 minutes then kibosh and check on it.
Coolant level has been feat down slowely but i attribute this to the upper radiator tubing when leaks when pressure is in the system, and the regulator gasket leaks as well. I have replaced the timing counterbalance gasket, the waterpump, automobile fan motor, because they every went bad and started unseaworthy coolant after i replaced my radiator cap old cap was bad and the new cap place pressure backwards in the grouping so old seals started leaking..
I havent gotten around to fixing the radiator hose or theromostat gasket yet. I ran a densification analyse and 7 cylinders are running at 160psi dry, and 166psi with oil squirts. 1 cylinder is running at 150 dry and 155 with oil.
I also used digit of those chemical test kits that you put over the radiator fill port where you suck air up from the radiator so it mixes with the chemical to verify you if you hit combustion gases in the cooling grouping The chemical stayed blue after 5 minutes with the engine running, and the intructions says chromatic means the headgasket and head are good, green effectuation effort bad, and yellow effectuation bad.
The temps outside are around 50-65f so maybe its because of the temperature right ?
Could i ease have a bad headgasket or head and hit no signs of combustion gases in the coolant or the oil ? Maybe it leaks into a chamber after the engine is shut off ? Or is this meet moisture effort into the engine/exhaust and burning soured after the Jeep sits
