alright so i have a 1995 pontiac sunfire GT with a 2.3L engine and semiautomatic transmission. the engine was replaced in 2010, and it only has about 100k on it. It module get rattling blistering abut between yellow and flushed and then go downbound JUST below the yellow line. and continues the cycle. if it gets too hot, the humectant module roil out of the reservoir. The automobile doesnt burn ANY oil, and no check engine reddened is on, exclusive the low liquid light, and ETS light on? Otherwise it doesnt leak ANYTHING. I bought this automobile most 2 months ago. I prototypal noticed that its movement hornlike but mostly exclusive after a daylong drive in kibosh & go reciprocation so I figured maybe it was just because the transmission was getting hot. Now I've detected several times where the transmission seems to slip. Basically I step on the gas not hard, meet for connatural acceleration and the engine revs up but the car doesn't move, then it jerks and goes. It feels same maybe the sending is slippy then dead engaging into gear.
I had the car inspected before I bought it and the journeyman said there were some leaks in the transmission and cooling lines that would requirement seals replaced. The excerpt was a amount of most 700 for the sending for seals replaced, changeful flush, cooling lines replaced etc. I'm willing to do that if it strength mend the difficulty and give me another 20,000 miles or so but if the transmission is hopeless I'll meet sell the car and move on.
So, what do you think? Is there hope that having the assist done module preserve the life of the transmission? Or is this a clew of large machinelike problems and I should meet sell the car?
Thanks folks. I know its belike leaking some fluid so I'll get it topped soured and if that fixes the problems at small temporarily I module go ahead and clear the 700 to intend the seals replaced & transmission full serviced. I just don't want to spend the money if its feat to expire anyway.
